Hey,

Someone threatened me in game, to report me. What does this mean?

Basically what happened - I had the "local" chat disabled. However, I wanted a run from thunderhead to grotto. I equipped my skills to run myself but thought it would take longer. Assuming I'd die.

He said invite yourself, made no mention of money, tips or anything. He just said, invite yourself.

So, he starts running (I'm under the impression he's doing it out of goodness of his heart, I've done thingsl ike that although it's rare people do).

He dies - I ask him why doesn't he have charge or anything. Usually people use that for runs?

I had spell breaker, rush, sprint etc. I make it to the res point, and basically get myself there. When we're there, I leave group.

He writes a "?". I say, "we're at grotto right? Okie, see ya" or something. He says, he is reporting me for not paying 1k...

So - sorry for long story, I have screenshots. What is reporting? Will I get banned for this? He said, he's been banned for 300 hours. I have seen this report mentioned before, when people didn't pay up for the beacons -> droks run (I always pay it by the way).

Don't see why I should pay for that, I ran the group, not him. He didn't mention asking for money :/

i personaly dont think you have anything to worry about.
The only person i have reported was spamming in lions arch that he had a program for hack's at a web site telling people to download it. as we all know he just has a key logger and is stealing people accounts. so i took screen shots and reported him to anet. also added him to buddy list. lol for some reason he has not been on the past 4 days LMAO.

bascially i believe this started off as a misunderstanding. Prolly you were looking for a runner and the runner believed that you were going to pay for the run. so unless you did agreed to pay in any of the conversation made, i believe he doesnt have a case against you.

lastly, the forums rules do not allow you to post other player's in game name i believe.

Forums playing up a bit for me, I'll try edit... It's not letting me at the moment though. When it is, I'll remove name (thanks for pointing that out).

Well, I would probably pay him if he made the run! He didn't though, lol.

Don't worry.

It's unlikely this will be enforced, if you have screenshots it might be able to clarify the misunderstanding.

I had a similar incident when i was trying to get my ranger to grotto. I remembered when i got my necro there i died a lot, so i packed my dodge and storm chaser and followed, or should i say lead,the tank into ice flow.

It was at this point where he said we have to pay him 1k. I, and the rest of the group, said that he never mentioned money before we left iron mines. He then takes off yelling "U WILL PAY ME AT GROTTTTO".

as before i lead him most the way until we got the final mob of imps and jades. At this point he tells me to bait the imps so he can run. So i fire up my troll ungent and storm chaser. I make it through while he dies, i can only assume he wasnt infused when he met the jades.

I make it to grotto and proceed to /cheer /dance and then walk inside. Again he says i/we owe him money, to which i reply i did the work and there never was an agreement on paying for the run before or during the run.

I dont know if he got any gold at all from the group but i ended up getting 4k from the other party members.

I've had people threaten to report me several times. Nothing ever happened, so I figured they were just being jerks. They objected to my IGN.

Some people will report you for using foul language....especially when it is unwarranted. Personally, I think unprovoked whispering to someone to f**k off when all they did was send a party invite is rude beyond belief, but when the comment is repeated....well, some would report it.

They have to have screen shots to bascially prove you "scammed" him, aka if he he had a screen shot of you saying you would pay him and he turns you in to support. W/o screenshots (that don't exist) I say your fine.
